In addition we have two experienced nurses working as Medical Device Trainer and Medical Device Coordinator.

  • Convenient and efficient medical device commissioning, repair, testing and   calibration service
  • Response times to meet customer requirements
  • Impartial advice on medical technical issues
  • CQC/NHSLA/MHRA 2014 management of medical devices standard
  • Inventory management including:
    • Extensive experience on auditing medical devices for Trusts
    • On-line helpdesk
    • MHRA alert management
    • Medical device replacement programming
  • View and track in real time work in progress i.e. device repair status
  • Equipment replacement program including where appropriate standardisation of new devices
  • Waste management of medical devices including:
    • Devices under the WEEE directive
    • Mercury
  • Medical device decontamination advice
  • Medical device waste management

We believe that as a Department of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust we are able to understand and meet the unique challenges faced by service users within the NHS. We pride ourselves on the quality of service provided, our team and our ability to react and respond to meet ever changing service requirements and demands. In a recent NHSLA Level 2 inspection the Department was commended for the systems we have in place, including the f2 Performance Management System, for management of medical devices.
